Suggestion of stimulative apparatus for regeneration of sportsmen
- Univerzita obrany Brno, Fakultní nemocnice Brno - Neurochirurgická klinika
The aim of the doctoral thesis is to make recovery processes in the skeletal muscles more effective immediately after the sub maximum intensity load and in this way to extend the theoretical area concerning rehabilitation in sport. The designed and composition of functional system of methods and apparatus for regeneration after sports performance should help sportsmen reach better sport records. Especially those sports record, when time between individual attempts or heats is insufficient for total relaxation. For these purposes We familiarised with actual electrical stimulation procedures. By analysing neuromuscular actions leading to skeletal muscle contraction We arrived at stimulation model that We used as a base for determining technical characteristics of the apparatus. Considering these technical characteristics We proposed and constructed the apparatus. The final result of our work is a functional electrical stimulation apparatus that was certificated and verified for its unexceptionability to be used as medical technique. This apparatus may be used in the Czech Republic according to § 22 of the Act No. 22/1997 of the Collection of Laws concerning technological requirement and the Act No. 274/2003 of the Collection of Law concerning medical device. On the basis of this certification I was able to use the apparatus in the course of testing in clinical practice.
