Risk perception, injury rate and sensation seeking tendency in sandstone climbing

D. Culková, D. Kretschmer

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):127-135 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.006

Sandstone climbing is a specific discipline of rock climbing in which a high degree of objective risk appears when leading a route. This affects the climber’s psyche, safety and sport performance itself. This is accompanied by a specific experience with ambivalent feelings and serious security risks. The aim of the study is to analyse the incidence of accidents in relation to the perception of risk and the sensation seeking tendency (SST). The research sample consists of 33 deliberately selected lead climbers. A questionnaire survey was used. 24 % of climbers experienced injury, 60 % of those injured did not change their further perception of...

The influence of concentration on decision-making speed and agility in a simulated motor task

P. Horička, J. Šimonek, Ľ. Paška, A. Domčeková

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):137-146 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.007

The subject of the study was to verify the influence of concentration on decision-making speed and agility in a motor task. The concentration was simulated through an ascending alternative time limit (+1, +2s). The object of the investigation was a group of 26 active athletes (n = 26, 180.62 cm; 20.12 years old), of which 15 were men and 11 were women. The average time per individual stimulus and the total time (t = 0.01s) were evaluated. The evaluation of the significance of differences according to the length of concentration did not confirm significant differences in decision-making speed and agility in the average reaction time in men [Sig.= 0.603...

Influence of Three-month Movement Intervention on the Development of Selected Motor Predispositions of Preschool Children from Pilsen

G. Kavalířová, L. Čepička, V. Knappová

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):147-157 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.005

The aim of the research study was to evaluate the effect of a three-month movement intervention on the level of development of selected motor predispositions of preschool children from Pilsen kindergartens, based on the results from the qualifying and final round of the Sports Games of Kindergartens. The final round takes place 12 weeks after the qualifiers. The research processes the results of twenty kindergartens (110 children – 53 girls and 57 boys). The individual disciplines in which the children compete is 4x6 m shuttle run, standing long jump, jumping/climbing over and climbing under an obstacle and one-handed overhead throw. We assumed...

Winter seasonal activities in the teaching of physical and sports education in primary schools

J. Michal, S. Straňavská

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):159-165 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.001

The aim of the work was to point out the opinions of primary school pupils on seasonal activities in the teaching of physical and sports education at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. 882 pupils from elementary schools from the district of Banska Bystrica participated in the survey. To obtain the necessary information, we used a questionnaire created by us for elementary school students. During the winter months, the most pupils engage in downhill skiing, namely 52.27% of boys and 57.63% of girls. The second greatest interest is in snowboarding, which is preferred by 30.16% of boys and 18.76% of girls. A surprising finding is that up to 18.07% of...

The influence of specific training load on the level of reactive and planned agility in floorball

Ľ. Paška, P. Horička, J. Šimonek, J. Krajčovič, G. Liptáková

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):167-175 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.004

The aim of our research was to verify the impact of the selected training means of training load in the interval of 10 weeks during the competition period in the season 2021/2022 and to diagnose changes in selected indicators of reactive and planned agility in the senior extra-league woman team of floorball players in the club VŠK PdF UK Hurikán Bratislava. The research group consisted of woman floorball players (n = 12, aged 22,6 ± 1,6). Motor indicators consisted of reactive agility tests (Y-Agility test, modified Fitro Agility Check-test) and running agility (T-Agility test). For more accurate measurement, we used Mircrogate photocells, the...

Measuring the efficiency of hockey clubs: Empirical evidence from Czech hockey competition

N. Pelloneová

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):177-186 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.002

Hockey is a very popular sport in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, efficiency analysis of hockey clubs is a useful tool to help managers evaluate team performance. However, there is a limited amount of academic studies that deal with the economic dimensions and efficiency evaluation of hockey clubs. The performance of players affects the performance of the entire team and predicts the success or failure of the hockey club itself. The aim of this research is to develop a methodology for evaluating the efficiency of hockey clubs and then apply this methodology to the Czech Tipsport extraliga. In the present research, the data envelopment analysis model...

The level of motor educability and selective reactivity of pupils

B. Ružbarská, M. Vašková, P. Kačúr, T. Eliaš

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):187-195 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2023.003

The younger school age is an important phase in motor development, characterised by rapid progress in motor development to its best level in childhood at the end of this period. Recent studies have shifted the sensitive periods of development of some coordination skills (e.g., reaction ability) to the beginning of the early school-age period. The main aim of the study was to assess the level of motor docility (IOWA-Brace test), simple and complex selective reactivity (reactivity test via Witty-Sem) of pupils of younger school age. The research population consisted of pupils of younger school age (n = 130; girls n = 38 / age ¯x = 8.5 ± 1.7;...

Analysis of the relationship between anthropometric parameters of a kayaker in relation to paddle length and boat volume

R. Zeman, L. Charvát

Studia Kinanthropologica 2022, 23(3):197-204 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2022.012

Kayaking is one of the recreational physical activities within water tourism. Basic knowledge of material-technical equipment is a prerequisite for proper skills training. It contributes to enhancing the experience of kayaking and is related to health aspects and safety of movement on water terrains. The aim of the study is to analyze the relationship between the anthropometric parameters of a kayaker and the parameters of the material-technical equipment. It aims to make recommendations that would allow better orientation in the selection of material equipment (kayak, paddle). The data was collected during an online survey in which 50 respondents...
