The aim of article is to identify changes in selected kinematic parameters of the top racer at the beginning and at the end of the winter preparatory period YTC 2008 / 2009. In the work we used two-dimensional analysis (2D), the basic logical methods and intra-individual monitoring of research. Viliam Papąo (VP) was the first year racer in the men's category in the season of 2009. The results confirmed that a special training conducted on the race high of the hurdles caused significant positive changes in the kinematic parameters of the hurdle step. We studied positive changes in the selected kinematic parameters of the hurdle step which are also shown in the increase of performance on 60 m hurdles and to create a personal record. Obtained kinematic parameters were compared with former world recorder in this discipline, Colin Jackson. We found significant differences in speed during the overcome of the hurdles, while the differences in the technique to overcome of the hurdles were significantly smaller.
