A very serious problem seems to be the current health status of the population of children aged 6-11 years noted in research investigations. Proven trend of decreasing physical activity and improper diet and nutrition leads to obesity and an increase in orthopedic diseases already in the youngest age groups in the Czech Republic. The economic aspects of the therapy then forcing state apparatuses to search for ways of prevention. In this context, the obvious importance of the school as an institution that has significant opportunities to participate in the formation of positive attitudes towards health and healthy lifestyles through education in the field of Human and Health. During the verification activities of the Czech school inspections (2009/2010) were in this area shortcomings. It is therefore necessary to consider the efficient solution and finding other ways shaping children from the youngest age categories in the field of active positions in health care and tending to a healthy lifestyle. Recommendations of national and multinational organizations seek to improve the education of future teachers who teach physical education at all school levels, the effectiveness of health education in schools and the optimization of educational programs in the context of health promotion.
