Swimming performance of applicants for study of physical education and sport on Slovakia

The authors in this contribution presents the results of swimming performance applicants of the study to Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Comenius University in Bratislava, PF UKF in Nitre a FHV UMB in Banska Bystrica, in the year 2007/2008.The results presents swimming performance men and women in swimming strokes - 100 m crawl-freestyle and 100m breastroke. The selection of swimming stroke is different. In the boys category dominant stroke is crawl-freestyle (n=333), breastroke (n=457) and in the category girls is dominant stroke breastroke (n=157) and crawl-freestyle (n=55). The table points from standard to maximum 10 points is most numerical in dividing line -Men - crawl-freestyle 5 points (n=86) and breastroke 6 points (n=40), Women - breastroke 3 points (n=47) and crawl-freestyle 10 points (n=14). The results of swimming test have interval from 4,8 to 6,7 points. Swimming ability on talent examination to the study of physical education and sport shows average level swimming performance applicants.
