The level of theoretical knowledge of pupils from 9. classrooms in region of Banská Bystrica from physical education and sport

The authors in their article solved the problems of level of theoretical knowledge from Physical education and Sport. The research sample was consisted from 1040 pupils of 9.calssrooms from 25 basic schools in region of Banská Bystrica. The main research method was educational test. Scientific papers presents the partial results of research activities during the solution of grant VEGA 1/4505/07 "The attitudes of pupils at basic schools in region of Central Slovakia to Physical Education and Sport and level of their theoretical knowledge from Physical Education and Sport according to educational standard." The authors found out that only 57,30% of pupils were successfull in educational test. In comparison of boys and girls the authors found out that 61,82% girls were successfull in educational test and only 52,86% boys. The authors also found out that 58,53% of pupils from towns were successfull in educational test and only 54,53% of pupils from willages.
