Czech philosophy and active lifestyle? (to the intellectual legacy of J. Velenovský and F. Mareš)

The paper analyses selected works of two prominent Czech scientists and philosophers - Josef Velenovský and František Mareš. It points out the variety and originality of their thought, which was able to comprehend the philosophical aspects of complex natural phenomena tied to their respective fields of expertise. Through the analysis of Velenovský's work "Přírodní filosofie" and Mareš's "O výživě člověka" the paper focuses on the problems of active lifestyle and nutrition in human life.
