The share of participation of the intellectual skills in the process of motor learning
- Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Fakulta pedagogická, Katedra tělesné a sportovní výchovy
The aim of this study was experimental verification of course of the motor learning in conditions of current physical education practices. Specifically, this was the finding of the relationship levels for acquirement of selected movement skills in gymnastics and gymnast intellective potential. The study was provided with students from the Department of Sport and Physical Education, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Gymnast from this research group passed training of the same acrobatic exercises from gymnastics (front flip, somersault forward, backward roll to handstand). The application of selected teaching methods had been running for two months, once a week. Gymnasts were tested by the intellective potential test - T.I.P before they acquired their selected motor skills. This is a nonverbal test of the extrapolation of abstract relations with effort to minimize the role of spatial factors, based on a large variety and diversity of perceptual tasks. According to the analysis of these acquired dates they were made conclusions about existence of some degree of dependence between the level of intellect potential and achievement levels of gymnastic skills from our research group.
