Heterogeneity is a structural characteristic of contemporary physical education and shapes students’ opportunities for meaningful participation. This conceptual-theoretical study examines the relationship between heterogeneity, participation, and instructional organization by synthesizing literature from inclusive pedagogy, sport pedagogy, and physical education didactics. The analysis focuses on performance-related, participatory, socio-cultural, interactional, and self-perception-related forms of heterogeneity and on organizational responses including differentiation, adaptive teaching, cooperative learning, nonlinear pedagogy, and models-based...

Studia Kinanthropologica 2026, 27, 17-31 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2026.004
The aim of this study is to assess the applicability of children’s drawings as a participatory visual method in sport for development research, using the illustrative case of the Football for Development project (FFD). Visual artefacts created by children (n = 24) aged 9–13 and two physical education teachers capture their experience with the FFD project implemented in the communities of Río Arriva, La Manzana, and Los Canales in the Madriz region of Nicaragua. Interpretative phenomenological analysis combined with qualitative coding demonstrates that participants’ lived experiences can be meaningfully captured and analyzed through...

Studia Kinanthropologica 2026, 27, 41-55 | DOI: 10.32725/sk.2026.006
Objective: The aim of this pilot study was to examine the feasibility of the research design and to explore potential differences in selected motor and cognitive abilities in female floorball players between the menstrual and non-menstrual phases of the menstrual cycle. Methods: The sample consisted of 24 female second-league floorball players (age 20.58 ± 2.79 years). A repeated-measures (within-subject) design was applied, with each participant tested in two phases of the menstrual cycle: during menstruation (days 1–3) and the mid-to-late follicular phase (days 7–10). The assessed variables included lower limb explosive strength...

Objective: The aim of the study was to examine the association between resistance training and psychological well-being among university students and to identify significant predictors of well-being. Methods: The sample consisted of 162 univerzity students from the Ústí nad Labem region. Psychological well-being was assessed using the WHO-5 Well-Being Index. Resistance training involvement was measured based on frequency, duration, and subjective intensity. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal–Wallis test, Spearman’s correlation, and multiple linear regression. Results: The mean WHO-5 score was 20.0...
